Very useful pre-interview checklist

There’s no second chance to make a first impression
The first rule of job interview preparation?

There’s no such thing as too much job interview preparation. It is very easy to forget the basic preparation to do prior to an interview, especially with so much to remember for the big day. Before you become overwhelmed, here is a simple and trustworthy pre-interview checklist. (If you are the forgetful type, print it off and laminate it!)

Before the interview

  • Research the company
  • Research the role
  • Plan how to get there
  • Think of interview questions you are likely to be asked and practise the answers
  • Prepare questions to ask at the end of the interview
  • Sort your outfit
  • Make sure you have everything you will need for the interview (e.g. a notebook and pen, a CV, an umbrella)

On the day of the interview

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early leaving home with plenty of time
  • Be polite and professional
  • Once again…RELAX
