Taking responsibility for the financial control of the UK branch affairs the role is diverse as well as hands on. You will have a dual reporting function to both Finance and Commerce with immediate reporting to the UK and European Finance senior management team. Ideally you will be a qualified (or nearly qualified) accountant with experience of the retail and distribution sectors and be seeking a role where you can analyse and interpret financial information and communicate those findings confidently at board meetings. As well as day to day financial accounting tasks you can also expect to be involved in the strategic decision-making, process reviews, introduction and improvement of operational systems, overseeing timely financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and development and implementation of strategic and operational plans to improve business efficiency. This role will support a team of up to six across four disciplines in the UK office covering Sales & Purchase Ledger, Treasury and Reporting. Business and Financial Controls - Demonstrates the ability to leverage company business and financial data and systems to ensure quality of transactions. Key accountabilities will include Financial Modelling, compliance, analysis and reporting, risk identification and mentoring. Candidates will be technically strong with good interpersonal and leadership skills, see themselves as inspirational, be enthusiastic, confident, and capable of driving through change while meeting the company’s legal and reporting obligations.
