You will work closely with the corporate tax director, partners and other team members across the practice. Your client portfolio will involve dealing with a wide range of companies for whom you’ll provide support on tax advisory matters for business owners, as well as helping them to meet corporate tax compliance deadlines. The research aspect of this role is also quite appealing for those keen to continue to develop new areas of expertise. There are frequent and varied enquiries predominantly from entrepreneurial owner managed business (OMB) clients looking to optimise tax liabilities across their business interests. Liaising with the accounts team, you will also need to provide guidance and support in preparing tax computations as part of the accounts preparation process for some of the more complex tax scenarios. We'd expect you to be qualified and have worked in an accountancy practice for at least 3 years and specifically in a tax department or handling this area of work as more than 50% of your role. ACA or ACCA are acceptable qualifications and although a Tax qualification (CTA or ATT) would be more desirable it is not essential.
